How has Bangladesh achieved such remarkable success in reducing poverty and achieving sustainable economic growth? What are the key challenges the country still faces today? What lessons from Bangladesh can be useful for other developing countries in Asia and Africa?



The Panelists: 

Dr Kamal Hossain | Architect of the Bangladeshi Constitution, he served as Law Minister 1972–1973, and Foreign Minister 1973–1975, following the independence of Bangladesh.

Dr Gowher Rizvi | Scholar and academic who specialises in international relations and public policy. He is the International Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Prof. Sir Paul Collier CBE | Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government. His research focusses on international growth and development.

Prof. Mthuli Ncube | Professor of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, where he teaches macroeconomics, finance, development economics, and political economy.
