About us

Bangladesh's journey with International Law began on the first day of its birth 26 March 1971 with the Unilateral Declaration of Independence by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as endorsed later on in the more comprehensive document 'Proclamation of Independence' on 10 April 1971. The Constitution of Bangladesh was adopted on 04 November 1972 to be effective from 16 December 1972. 

Bangladesh was soon admitted to the United Nations as a full member with the adoption of UN General Assembly Resolution 3203 on 17 September 1974. Since then, Bangladesh has played a promising role in the development of International Law and has been part of several International and regional effort in ensuring global peace and prosperity. 

The aim of this blog is to engage in complex discussions of International and Constitutional Law issues relevant for Bangladesh. This blog will host critical analyses of students, practitioners and scholars on  issues of International and Constitutional Law.
